- Federico Fellini (1920-1993) himself played the old man complaining to the crowd about the decline of Roman culture. The crowd consisted of students and crew members.
- One scene in the film features a distorted version of Maurice Ravel's 'Boléro' (1928), likely arranged by Italian composer Nino Rota (1911-1979).
- This marked Cassandra Peterson's (an American actress best known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark in film and television) first screen appearance. Peterson and a friend were living in Rome and happened to run into an acquaintance they had met in Las Vegas, where they had once worked as dancers. He was gaining experience in directing under Federico Fellini (1920-1993) and introduced the girls to him. Fellini offered them roles in minor parts. The girls agreed, had no lines, and were not even credited in the titles. Many years later, Peterson stated in an interview that she was on screen for less than 30 seconds in the film, but she enjoyed it, and she called Fellini a 'cool guy'.
