• The “pheromone” effect was achieved as follows: a portable stove was placed below the camera and slowly raised during the scene's filming.
• Shots from inside a beer bottle were filmed in the following way. A beer bottle was cut in half and placed over the camera lens. Then, beer bubbles were filmed and the image was overlaid onto the footage shot from within.
• Initially, the filmmakers did not have access to an editing suite, so directors Jack Clark and James Weir, and editor Ben Anderson, each took one-third of the film to edit, and the first version of the film was assembled on their personal computers.
