Short description
Cousins Thomas and David, owners of a mobile restaurant, team up with their friend Moby, a bumbling private detective, to save the beautiful Sylvia, a pickpocket.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The international title is “Wheels on Meals,” although “Meals on Wheels” would have been more accurate. This was done at the request of Golden Harvest film company management, who feared releasing a film starting with the letter “M” as their two previous films, “Megaforce” and “Menage A Trois,” had flopped at the box office.
  • A video game, “Kung Fu Master,” was based on this film.
  • This is the first of two films in which Jackie Chan starred with former kickboxing champion Benny Urquidez (the second film being “Dragons Forever” (1988)). Their fight is still considered one of the best in cinematic history.
  • In one interview, Benny Urquidez said that he didn't even know who Jackie Chan was before filming began.
  • Skateboard tricks were performed by Sigeru Ishihara, who was not part of Jackie Chan's stunt team, but a guest specialist who also served as the skate trick choreographer.
  • In the final fight between Jackie Chan and Benny Urquidez, the latter delivered a kick with such force that the resulting gust of wind extinguished several candles nearby. This moment was included in the film without cuts.
  • During the final fight, Benny Urquidez was genuinely hitting, meaning he was making full contact, which greatly upset Jackie Chan. This was because Urquidez had little experience filming movies.
  • In one scene, a van attempts to escape a chase. After a jump, it lands and the impact damages the bumper. However, in the next shot, the bumper is back in its original condition.
  • During the chase, the van is blocked on both sides by cars, and Jackie and his companions decide to break through by reversing. During this maneuver, they break the rear bumper, but moments later, the bumper is seen to be intact again.
  • The film was shot in the Republic of Tuva in 2007.
