What's left behind the scenes

  • The soundtrack to the film was to be recorded by the British rock band Queen. However, this idea was not realized.
  • The film was planned to be shot in New Hampshire in the summer of 1982, specifically at the 'Wentworth by the Sea' hotel, which had closed the previous year. Shortly before the start of pre-production, director Tony Richardson (1928-1991) and producer Neil Hartley (1916-1994) informed state authorities that the film's sponsor (Pizza Hut) had changed its mind, and the film was left without funding. As a result, the film was shot in Canada the following year for less money than originally anticipated, thanks to a very favorable exchange rate.
  • During the filming of the fight scene, Rob Lowe broke his nose.
  • The British rock band Queen was supposed to record the soundtrack for the film. However, this idea was not realized.
