Short description
A former teenage getaway driver gets dragged back into her unsavory past when a former employer offers her a chance to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend.
What's left behind the scenes
- During the audition, Samara Weaving (who played Edie) stated that she knew how to drive, although in reality, she had no driving experience at all before filming began. She learned to drive directly on the set, with instruction from experienced stunt drivers.
- The scene in which John, played by Karl Glusman, runs through the campus was filmed in Cleveland, and the locals were not informed about the filming. Samara Weaving later recounted that she couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Glusman running around in his underwear, with children staring at him from the windows and adults on their way to work being utterly bewildered.
