What's left behind the scenes
- Residents of Burkittsville disapproved of the idea of filming a sequel to "The Blair Witch Project" and, according to the director, simply drove the film crew out of the settlement. The documentary footage at the beginning of the film is assembled from excerpts of interviews with the few locals who agreed to speak with the filmmakers.
- The scene of the film being played in reverse – a repetition of a similar scene from the film "The Exorcist".
