What's left behind the scenes
- Magnolia Films demanded that De Palma cut scenes of the faces of killed Iraqis from the finale. Company executives feared that the families of the deceased would file a lawsuit against them.
- The film's production was financed by Mark Cuban, owner of the “Dallas Mavericks,” a basketball team in the NBA.
- The original title of the film translates completely the opposite: “Uncensored.”
