The recording studio featured in the film was named by the director in honor of American singer of Armenian descent, Cathy Berberian.
At the very beginning of the film, Elena calls Francesco to inform him of Gilderoy's arrival at the studio. Despite the film taking place in Italy, when she picks up the phone, a continuous ringing tone, typical of the USA or the UK, is heard. The phone ringing tone in Italy sounds completely different.
