- This is the first adaptation of a novel from Donald E. Westlake's (pseudonym — Richard Stark) "Parker" series to use the character's name — Parker. In "Payback" (1999), based on the novel "The Hunter," the name Porter was used. Westlake died on December 31, 2008.
