What's left behind the scenes
- According to Jack Quaid, who played Nathan, the film was shot sequentially, following the script more closely than is usually done. Using three-dimensional scanning and computer technology, special effects artists created a bust of the actor on which they experimented with images of wounds and tattoos. Quaid enjoyed the whole process very much.
- If all the blows dealt to the protagonist had landed on his head instead of his body, his face would have become unrecognizable by the middle of the film.
- Directors Dan Berk and Robert Olsen considered Jack Quaid perfectly suited for the role of Nathan. They had seen his work in the series "The Boys" (2019-), and the actor's charm reminded them of Tom Hanks. Quaid had to learn not to react externally to blows to the face, and stuntman Stanimir Stamatov helped him with this.
