According to George Pan Cosmatos, all the lightning and mustaches in the film are real.
Doc Holliday plays Chopin's Nocturne No. 19, Op. 72 No. 1 on the piano.
When Earp first rides into Tombstone, the inscription on one of the tombstones in the cemetery reads: “Here lies Lester Moore. Four .44 slugs. No more. No less.” A grave with the exact same epitaph exists in Tombstone, Arizona.
Mr. Fabian reads the same passage from “Henry V” that Dutton Peabody reads in “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” (1962).
