What's left behind the scenes

  • Claudia Christian (stripper Brenda) remembers filming this movie for two reasons. First, the producers decided she had breasts that were too small, and accordingly selected a wardrobe for her character that emphasized her buttocks. Second, she damaged her cornea as a result of a shot from a prop gun. Because of this, during filming of the science fiction series "Babylon 5," when her character had to fire a prop gun, she instinctively turned her head away at the moment of pulling the trigger, which was completely unnecessary, as the prop gun there didn't fire, and all accompanying shots were added to the frame as visual effects later.
  • The method of stop-motion animation was used to transfer the alien creature from Devriz's body into Miller's body. During breaks, the stagehands would insert a model of the creature into a dummy head. William Boyett, the actor who played Miller, felt sick when he watched the creature enter his mouth and preferred to leave the room altogether.

  • The movement of the alien creature from Devries' body to Miller's body used a puppet animation method. During breaks, stagehands would insert a model of the creature into a prop head. William Boyett, who played Miller, became nauseous watching the creature enter his mouth and preferred to leave the room altogether.
