Short description
Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years, arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry, is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone.
What's left behind the scenes
- Filming for the movie began in April 2024 in Ireland.
- A loose adaptation of the story of how actress Olivia Sui once had dinner with producers Sam Lerner and Cameron Crowe Fuller, and was constantly sent Shrek memes via AirDrop (a wireless data transfer technology between Apple devices).
- Director Christopher Landon said that the finished film differed significantly from the original script. The script stated that the man who pursued Violet (played by Megan Fayhee) was the brother of her deceased husband, and that his desire for her to kill Henry (played by Brandon Sklenar) was motivated by a desire to avenge his late brother, who had bullied him in the past. Landon suggested making Henry a more significant figure in the overall narrative, and the script was revised accordingly.
