Shortly after filming wrapped, the house used for the main characters' Sunday gatherings burned to the ground.
Bo Bridges was initially offered the role of Norman Arbuthnot, but he did not like the character.
While Annabeth Gish waited for the start of filming for the next scene (a rather explicit love scene with Jonathan Penner, the director Stacy Title's husband), the film crew gave her a drink.
