In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with and her first love, who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.
What's left behind the scenes
- Miles Teller and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (who played Larry and Anna, respectively) had one representative, and before getting roles in this film, they had long dreamed of appearing on screen together in one project.
- Shortly before the film's premiere in Toronto, director and screenwriter David Frayne was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He attended the Toronto premiere in September 2025, but underwent brain surgery afterward, during which a significant portion of the tumor was removed. After the surgery, Frayne, accompanied by four neurosurgeons, attended the film's premiere in London, where he thanked them from the stage for the successful operation.
