• Sarah's wardrobe for the second half of the film was chosen by Elizabeth Hurley herself, the actress who played the role. Director Reginald Hudlin approved her choices.
• Matthew Perry came up with many of his character's sarcastic remarks himself.
• The scene in which Matthew Perry’s character runs away from the truck driven by Tony, played by Vincent Pastore, was filmed while Perry had a broken leg. If he had stumbled for even a moment, he would have been run over.
• The hotel concierge was played by Mike Judge. According to Reginald Hudlin, the actor chosen for this small role fell ill, so Hudlin called Judge, and he agreed to come to the set.
• During filming in 2002, Matthew Perry spent some time in a rehabilitation center, where he was treated for painkiller addiction. His character’s noticeably changing weight throughout the film is due to his time at the center. Scenes without his character were filmed during Perry’s absence.
