Short description
A savvy and free-spirited surfer is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer. Held captive on his boat, she must figure out how to escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below.
What's left behind the scenes
- During filming, numerous lighting fixtures were installed on the boat – both inside and outside – so that the actors could move freely without worrying about the angle.
- The filmmakers decided not to use mechanical sharks and instead used footage of real predators.
- On the advice of director Sean Byrne, Jai Courtney spent a lot of time at the aquarium preparing for his role, in order to better understand shark behavior.
