• The town of Saint-Dizier, located almost 200 km east of Paris, was chosen for filming due to its relative obscurity and active participation in the 'Yellow Vests' protests. The town was undergoing a process of deindustrialization, which gave it a particular atmosphere. A military base is located near Saint-Dizier, which explains the appearance of Rafale fighter jet sounds in the film. These sounds emphasize the loneliness of the town's residents.
• While preparing for the film, director and screenwriter Dominique Moll spent some time in Paris – at the headquarters of the French National Police Inspection (this structure is responsible for the internal affairs of the department). He noted that when investigating cases of allegations of police brutality against suspects, witness testimonies often differed and contradicted each other, forcing investigators to turn to video recordings of protests.
• The case depicted in the film is fictional. However, it is analogous to many cases of injuries inflicted on protesters by law enforcement officers who opened fire during the 'Yellow Vests' protests in France between 2018 and 2023, i.e., during Macron's first presidential term.
