Short description
On a high mountain plain lives a lamb with wool of such remarkable sheen that he breaks into high-steppin' dance. But there comes a day when he loses his lustrous coat and, along with it, his pride. It takes a wise jackalope - a horn-adorned rabbit - to teach the moping lamb that wooly or not, it's what's inside that'll help him rebound from life's troubles.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The cartoon was first shown at the premiere of "The Incredibles" (2004).
  • Screenwriter Bud Luckey found inspiration for the cartoon in the state of Montana from his youth. He started with the saddest thing he had ever seen – a freshly shorn sheep in the rain. Luckey told the story through a song. To save the sad little lamb, he added a jackalope to the tale, a mythical animal popular in the American Great Plains.
  • The hand that grabs the lamb belongs to a shepherd resembling the dentist from the cartoon "Finding Nemo" (2003).
  • The jackalope's hairstyle is based on Western artist Charles Marion Russell.
  • The owl model is a modified version of the groundhog model.
  • The Ford Model T car is the same as the one in the animated film 'Cars' (2006).
