Short description
Years after settling an epic family feud and surviving house arrest in Punjab, Jassi Singh Randhawa returns this time chasing love, not trouble. But when he lands in Scotland to win back his estranged wife, he stumbles into a hostage crisis, a mafia war and the most bizarre Sardaar wedding of the century.
What's left behind the scenes
- The original plot is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, which took place on the eve of the Tirah Campaign (the name given to the border war in British India in 1897-1898) between the Sikhs of the British Indian Army and the Pashtuns on September 12, 1897. Filming of the film was announced as early as 2015, but the project was shelved. In 2019, Rajkumar Santoshi filmed "Battle of Saragarhi" starring Akshay Kumar.
- Sanjay Dutt was unable to attend filming, where he was supposed to reprise the same role, due to visa issues, and Ravi Kishan was cast in the role instead.
- Mukesh Dev's last role. He passed away at the age of 54, 38 days before the premiere.
