What's left behind the scenes
- This is the first American film to feature Bruce Lee's son, Brandon Lee.
- Midway through the film, a police officer asks Jake to 'air out his fists of fury'. 'Fists of Fury' is the title of a classic Bruce Lee film.
- Brandon Lee wanted John Woo to direct the film, but Woo was busy filming 'Hard Boiled' and was replaced by American director Dwight Little.
- At Brandon Lee's request, two songs by the hard rock band Hardline – 'Can't Find My Way' and 'I'll Be There' – were featured in the film.
- In preparation for the film, Brandon Lee studied Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Jeet Kune Do.
