In the original version of the film, Rudolph, Hermey, and Yukon arrive on the Island of Misfit Toys and promise to help them, after which the Misfit Toys are not mentioned again. After the film's release, children flooded the studio with complaints about this injustice. As a result, a short scene was filmed in which Santa and his reindeer return to the island and take all the Misfit Toys to find them new homes.
On screen, Rudolph appears to be almost a meter tall, but this is an optical illusion. In reality, the fawn is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
