Short description
When neighborhood kids begin vanishing, Jenny suspects her child psychologist husband, Carter, may be resuming the deranged experiments his father performed on Carter when he was young. Now, it falls to Jenny to unravel the mystery. And as more children disappear, she fears for her own child's safety.
What's left behind the scenes
- John Lithgow had already worked with the director on "Obsession" (1976) and "Blow Out" (1981).
- According to director and screenwriter Brian De Palma, the idea for the film "Raising Cain" was suggested to him by a friend, a child psychologist, who took breaks from his own practice to focus exclusively on the development of his own child.
