What's left behind the scenes
- To prepare for the role of Margot Zeller, Nicole Kidman studied early films by Woody Allen and Ingmar Bergman.
- Together with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jack Black, Kidman rented a house in the Hamptons for the duration of filming, and they stayed there together every weekend to get into their roles and rehearse upcoming scenes.
- Filming took place from April to June 2006 in the vicinity of New York.
