• The film's American theatrical release was initially scheduled for May 12, 2006, but was moved back three months (to August 11) due to a lawsuit initiated by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Comics. They believed that the film's concept and script were too similar to the "X-Men" franchise, the third film of which was also being released in May, and this could confuse audiences and, as a result, harm the box office potential of the high-budget project.
• Rupert Gregson-Williams was originally slated to compose the music, but he left the project due to his commitment to the animated film "Over the Hedge" and was replaced by Christoph Beck.
• On the only photograph of the old "Zenith" superhero team, you can make out all the other members besides Tim Allen (Captain Zoom) and Kevin Zegers (Concussion). These are Alexis Bledel (Ace), Wilmer Valderrama (Marksman), and Devon Aoki (Daravia).
• On the cover of the DVD release of the film, including the Russian one, Captain Zoom (Tim Allen) is depicted clean-shaven and well-groomed. This is the only time he is seen like this – throughout the entire movie, he appears with a mustache and beard.
