Short description
Ismael and Julie, in the hope of sparking their stalled relationship, enter a playful yet emotionally laced threesome with Alice. When tragedy strikes, these young Parisians are forced to deal with the fragility of life and love. For Ismael, this means negotiating through the advances of Julie's sister and a young college student – one of which may offer him redemption.
What's left behind the scenes
- Not much time passed between the completion of post-production and the world premiere. Producer Paulo Branco gave director Christophe Honoré the green light in October 2006, the cast had their first read-throughs in November, and the songs were recorded in December. Filming began in January 2007 and finished in time for the final version to be submitted to the Cannes Film Festival that same year, where it premiered in May.
- Many of the dialogues are based on lines from Adam Tirrell's first novel, "Politics," which the heroine, played by Clothilde Esme, reads during a bedroom scene.
