Lucy Harmon, an American teenager is arriving in the lush Tuscan countryside to be sculpted by a family friend who lives in a beautiful villa. Lucy visited there four years earlier and exchanged a kiss with an Italian boy with whom she hopes to become reacquainted.
What's left behind the scenes
- Jean Marais’s last role (full name – Jean Alfred Villain-Marais).
- The storyline of the main character, played by Liv Tyler, wanting to find out who her father is, mirrors Tyler's own life story. In one interview, she said that she had no idea as a child that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was her father. Liv found this out only at the age of 8.
- A scene was filmed, but did not make it into the film, in which hunters shoot at the characters played by Liv Tyler and Rebecca Valpe, but Jeremy Irons, who played Alex, comes to their rescue.
- The role of Alex was offered to Alan Rickman, but he declined the offer.
