Short description
Sergeant Michael Dunne fights in the 10th Battalion, AKA The "Fighting Tenth" with the 1st Canadian Division and participated in all major Canadian battles of the war, and set the record for highest number of individual bravery awards for a single battle
What's left behind the scenes
- Filming began on August 20, 2007, and took place in Calgary (Alberta province), Fort Macleod, at the Suffield military base in Alberta, and in Belgium. Principal photography began in Calgary and lasted forty-five days. More than 200 actors were involved, including Canadian soldiers with combat experience gained in Afghanistan. Battle scenes were filmed in October 2007 in the Tsuu T'ina Indian reservation on the outskirts of Calgary.
