The script was only 32 pages long.
This is the only film in over 100 years of international cinema history to feature only one actor and one writer/director, yet boasts eleven executive producers and another six producers of various specialties.
When the protagonist uses the radio transmitter, he speaks into the wrong side. The microphone is on the opposite side, and he is speaking into the metal casing.
When the hero's boat first capsizes during the storm, it can be noticed that one of the portholes is open. Because of this, a large amount of water should have entered the boat, but it isn't there.
After the hero stops shaving, for the next eight days – most of which he spends fighting for his life in an inflatable life raft – his face remains smooth, without any signs of stubble.
