What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place on the grounds of the Kanawaki golf club near Montreal in the Canadian province of Quebec. The club building was repainted yellow for filming. The club members liked it, and the building remains that color to this day.
- Armand Laroche's last work in film.
- In the film, Francis Ouimet (1893-1967) defeats Harry Vardon by 1 stroke. In reality, Ouimet defeated Vardon by 5 strokes and Ted Ray by 6 strokes.
