The screenplay for this film was included in the 'Black List' of the best unproduced screenplays of 2009.
Percussionist and Slipknot founder Shawn Crahan played a cameo role in the film, although he is not credited. He played the man being interviewed by the reporter at the end of the film. Crahan and Mark Neveldine are friends. They previously worked together on the film 'Officer Down' (2016).
