Short description
10 years after a global economic collapse, a hardened loner pursues the men who stole his car through the lawless wasteland of the Australian outback, aided by the brother of one of the thieves.

- The film's director and screenwriter, David Michôd, originally wrote the character of Eric specifically for Guy Pearce.
- According to actor Robert Pattinson, after completing work on the 'Twilight' franchise, he realized he needed to star in films of other genres, otherwise he would always be perceived only as a fantasy-romance actor. He wanted to play in this film so much that he even dreamed of playing Ray before the audition, and when he came to director and screenwriter David Michôd's home for the audition, he was so nervous that he couldn't focus and start acting for 45 minutes.
