Short description
When successful businessman Sam Treadwell finds that his android wife, Cherry model 2000 has blown a fuse, he hires sexy renegade tracker E. Johnson to find her exact duplicate. But as their journey to replace his perfect mate leads them into the treacherous and lawless region of 'The Zone', Treadwell learns the hard way that the perfect woman is made not of computer chips and diodes.
What's left behind the scenes
- Melanie Griffith later recounted that she was pregnant when auditioning for the role in this film. She was cast, but with a condition (it was even included in the contract) that if she did not give birth by September 9th, the role would be given to another actress. Griffith gave birth to her son Alexander (by her then-husband Steven Bauer) on August 22, 1985, and began filming three weeks later. She breastfed the baby, so she brought him with her to the set.
