• The original version of the film differed from the one released on screens by a much larger number of violent scenes. One of the cut scenes, in particular, was an episode in which young Robin – Tim Drake – kills someone with a speargun. In light of the Columbine High School massacre on April 20, 1999, many dialogues and scenes of violence were changed or cut, so the cartoon was given a PG rating (parents are advised to watch the film with their children). The initial version with a PG-13 rating (not recommended for children under 13) was later released on DVD.
