When Thomas leaves the hospital, a sign reads “In Odd We Trust.” This is the title of a graphic novel from the “Strange Thomas” book series, which forms the basis of the film.
Lily Collins, Emma Roberts, Kat Dennings, and Portia Doubleday were considered for the role of Stormy. Collins was the favorite, but declined to star in "Snow White and the Huntsman" (2012).
