Short description
Unperturbed by the disastrous outcome of his previous meddling with the dead, Dr. West continues his research into the phenomenon of re-animation; only this time, he plans to create life – starting with the heart of his young protégé Dan's dearly deceased, Meg Halsey. Surely nothing could go wrong?

What's left behind the scenes

  • A scene of Dan Megan reviving the girl was cut from the film. Also, in the original concept, Lieutenant of Police was supposed to find Dr. Hill’s head, and the head itself was to be on a tray with blood.
  • The image of Kathleen Kinmont’s character required applying liquid latex to her entire body. Initially, the substance was cold, but then it warmed up and hardened. The actress fainted from the heat. She came to after some time and found herself sitting in a robe in an armchair. When she was told what had happened, the actress was only concerned about having to be covered in liquid latex again, not that the latex would be reapplied to her nude body by men.
  • According to Kathleen Kinmont, applying her makeup took 6.5 hours, and another two hours were spent removing the makeup and various prosthetics. Makeup artists used a substance called "Detach-Air," and, according to the actress, she often experienced pain during the process.
