Short description
The second of two theatrically released follow-ups to the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Comprising of two alternate episodes which were first intended to take the place of episodes 25 and 26, this finale answers many of the questions surrounding the series, while also opening up some new possibilities.
What's left behind the scenes
- According to her own account, at the beginning of the film Misato Katsuragi sees a file on her computer monitor that reveals the truth about the Second Impact. In reality, it is a brief description of the history of the Gainax animation studio and a list of its works.
- During the dubbing of the choking scene with Asuka, actress Megumi Ogata, who voiced Shinji, got so carried away that she pushed Yuko Miyamura to the floor and actually started choking her. Therefore, Yuko delivers her lines with difficulty.
