Short description
A reporter's dream of becoming a news anchor is compromised after a one-night stand leaves her stranded in downtown L.A. without a phone, car, ID or money - and only 8 hours to make it to the most important job interview of her life.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The yellow dress worn by Elizabeth Banks throughout the film was created by New York designer Yigal Azrouël, but in one scene it is stated that the dress is "by Marc Jacobs".
  • Before filming, Elizabeth Banks took a special course in how to fall correctly in extreme conditions.
  • Contrary to typical Hollywood practice, the film was not previewed for critics and went straight to wide release.
  • The film's original title is a common English expression meaning returning home in the morning after a wild night out in a disheveled state.
  • Elizabeth Banks landed the role in the film through connections.
  • For scenes where the heroine is shown from the waist up, Elizabeth Banks wore a special yellow costume that only appeared to be part of a dress from above, while below it was trousers and comfortable flat boots.
  • When Megan steals her car from the impound lot, we see the dashboard gauges with the engine temperature in the middle of the scale. This is impossible because she’s been driving for only 15 seconds, and it's not possible to warm up an engine that quickly, even under load, especially since the car had been standing for several hours.
  • The yellow dress worn by Elizabeth Banks throughout the film was created by New York designer Yigal Azrouël, however, one scene states that the dress is "by Marc Jacobs."
