What's left behind the scenes

  • This film does not have "bloopers" at the end, unlike most films starring Jackie Chan.
  • The film has two versions: the original from "Golden Harvest" and the American version from "Dimension Films". The original has more dynamic music, a different editing of frames in a couple of scenes, and romantic and comedic scenes that were cut from the American version. Also, in the "Dimension Films" version, the characters' names were changed – John Ma and Boomer (originally Ya Ma and Hard Nut), Tyson (Tarzan in the Hong Kong version) and Tammy (Tong San in the original version).
  • This is the last film in which Nina Li Chi starred, as she left her acting career in 1992.
  • During the boat race, their registration numbers changed several times. Tyson and Boomer's boat initially had the number 27838, but when it hits the ramp and travels on land, its number is already 23108. The two other boats involved in the chase had registration numbers 43738 and 24118. Then one boat crashes and explodes – at that moment, the boat's number is clearly visible. In later scenes, the number of the remaining boat was supposed to be 24118, but 43738 was seen several times.
