Short description
When three friends finally come to after a raucous night of bachelor-party revelry, they find a baby in the closet and a tiger in the bathroom. But they can't seem to locate their best friend, Doug – who's supposed to be tying the knot. Launching a frantic search for Doug, the trio perseveres through a nasty hangover to try to make it to the church on time.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The original title of the film translates to "The Hangover".
  • When the whole group drives to Vegas in a convertible, Alan Garner (Zach Galifianakis) stands up and shouts “Road Trip!”. Todd Phillips directed a film of the same name (2000).
  • Three pairs of twins and a doll were used as the baby.
  • Plans for a sequel were announced by the studio even before the film's release.
  • During filming in Las Vegas, one of the Mercedes cars, very worn and standing out because of it, was stolen from the vehicle parking area. The next day, filming of one of the road scenes took place on the city streets, and traffic was blocked by the local police. One of the crew members noticed a very similar car in the resulting traffic jam and informed the police; the driver was detained and arrested, and the stolen car was returned.
  • Director Todd Phillips waived his usual fee in exchange for a share of the film's rights. The decision proved incredibly successful and earned him a huge sum as part of the profits received.
  • In commentary on the DVD, Todd Phillips states that the possible appearance of the chicken in the room is likely due to the guys intending to feed it to the tiger.
  • The film contains numerous parallels with the film "Rain Man" (1988).
  • Stu's missing tooth required no special effects or prosthetics. Actor Ed Helms never had a permanent incisor, and his denture was removed in the scenes where it was necessary.
  • The original title of the film translates as "Hangover".
  • The film contains numerous analogies to the film "Rain Man" (1988).
