Short description
Two tigers are separated as cubs and taken into captivity, only to be reunited years later as enemies by an explorer (Pearce) who inadvertently forces them to fight each other.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The role of the French ambassador could have gone to Christian Clavier.
  • Guy Pearce insisted that the scenes involving him be filmed using adult tigers. As a rule, for the safety of the actors, such scenes are filmed separately and then combined using computer graphics.
  • The tigers used in the filming were provided by the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Thailand, near Pattaya.
  • The filming of the prince's palace took place in the world-famous Muang Boran Park (“Ancient City”), 33 kilometers from Bangkok, where the most famous historical monuments of Thailand are reproduced on a smaller scale.
  • Approximately 30 tigers were used during the filming of the movie. Most of them were taken from French zoos, and the rest were brought from Thailand.
