Short description
At the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to rebuild his team when he trades for the number one pick. He must decide what he's willing to sacrifice on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with NFL dreams.
What's left behind the scenes
- At the beginning of the film, a radio broadcast states that “football was invented in the city of Canton, Ohio.” In reality, American football evolved from rugby. On the East Coast, football was primarily played in colleges, and it gained further development thanks to a Yale University graduate, with the first professional game taking place in Pittsburgh. On September 17, 1920, the American Professional Football Association (the precursor to the National Football League) was founded in Canton.
