Short description
San Francisco's premiere wedding planner, Mary Fiore is rescued from an accident by the man of her dreams, pediatrician Steve Edison, only to find he is the fiancé of her latest client. As Mary continues making their wedding arrangements, she and Steve are put into a string of uncomfortable situations that force them to face their mutual attraction.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Originally, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brendan Fraser were to play the roles of Mary and Steve, but they were later replaced by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Both couples were unable to appear in the film due to scheduling conflicts, and the lead roles went to Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey.
  • Many scenes were filmed in Golden Gate Park, as well as in The Huntington Library.
  • The first date scene in the park ends with a dance that the film's protagonists are forced to interrupt due to rain. Before that, the actress was wearing a light raincoat, and the actor was in a jacket. Having removed these items before the dance, the young couple, frightened by the sudden downpour, runs away, forgetting about their clothes.
