Short description

Dan Merrick comes out from a shattering car accident with amnesia. He finds that he is married to Judith who is trying to help him start his life again. He keeps getting flashbacks about events and places that he can't remember. He meets pet shop owner and part time private detective Gus Klein who has supposedly done some work for him prior to the accident. Klein helps Merrick to find out more...

What's left behind the scenes

A tape of this film appears in "The Ring" (2002), and is particularly noticeable in the cabin scene.
Plastic surgeon George Herbert Semel, who acted as a consultant on the film's set, also played a role – the role of a plastic surgeon.
Nicole Kidman auditioned for the lead female role.
When Merrick examines the container, it continues to glow from within even after he removes the flashlight.
At the end of the film, Gus is completely dry, despite being underwater just a few minutes earlier.
During the chase in the forest, the hubcap flies off the car's front right wheel, but it's back on in the next shot.
The initial car crash in the plot is said to have occurred in Marin County, California, but in the scene where they return to the crash site, you can see granite slopes and tall pine trees, which are uncharacteristic of the area.
At the end of the film, when the car falls off the cliff, it's seen flipping over at the end of the fall. However, in the final helicopter shots, the car is burning but remains upright.
