- A more accurate translation of the title is "Unfair Deal".
- Arnold Schwarzenegger only agreed to star in the film after lengthy disagreements and in exchange for a promise to terminate his agreement with Dino de Laurentis to film a certain number of movies. He had only one film remaining on his contract, and he actually wanted to star in Paul Verhoeven's "Total Recall" (1990), but Dino de Laurentis objected, stating that he was not suitable for the role of Quaid and that Patrick Swayze (1952-2009) had already been cast.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger stated in one interview that this was the first film in which his character wore a modern suit, and that until then, the costumes for his characters cost around $10.
- It took Arnold Schwarzenegger several months to learn how to walk and swing both arms simultaneously.
- In the scene where Schwarzenegger's character blows up his car on the grounds of an industrial plant, the oil tanks are labeled IRVIN OIL COMPANY. The film's director is named John Irwin.
