- The Crown of the British Empire worn by Bob during the "coronation" scene can also be seen in the film "Despicable Me" (2010) when all the Minions offer treasures to help Gru steal the Moon.
- The film's events take place in 1968, and in the scene where the Minions try to enter the Tower of London, it can be noticed that England was already using the decimal monetary system, although it was only adopted in 1971.

In translation, this expression means “The Cockroach.”
