Short description
Bill is worried that he is 'different' to his sister and parents. They mix with other 'upper class' people while Bill is more down to earth. Even his girlfriend seems a bit odd. All is revealed when Bill returns home to find a party in full swing. Not for the weak of stomach.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film flopped at the US box office, but was very successful in Europe. 'Europeans are able to appreciate the social ideas embedded in the film, while for Americans it's all just jokes...' says the film's director, Brian Yuzna.
- Before filming certain scenes, director Brian Yuzna would hang a sign on the door of the soundstage with the inscription 'Abandon all hope, ye who enter here'.
- The scene where Billy sees Jenny's body in the shower was added because director Brian Yuzna felt it was necessary to demonstrate something shocking earlier in the film.
- According to Brian Yuzna, he was more interested in surrealism than logic when creating the film.
