What's left behind the scenes

  • The “bear trap” used in this short film was invented by mutual friends Leigh Whannell and James Wan. The device was rusty, but fully functional and extremely dangerous, as Leigh had to hold it in his mouth. In the film “Saw” (directed by Wan, written by Whannell, 2004), the device was already safe to handle, and the rust on it was fake.
  • The "reverse bear trap," used in this short film, was invented by a mutual friend of Leigh Whannell and James Wan. The device was rusty but fully functional and extremely dangerous, as Leigh had to hold it in his mouth. In *Saw* (directed by Wan, written by Whannell, 2004), the device was made safe to handle, and the rust on it was fake.
