What's left behind the scenes
- During filming in Canada in winter, the temperature dropped to minus 30 degrees Celsius.
- The scene where Jenny and Ivan walk across the ice of a frozen lake at night was actually filmed at night and on ice. Due to the danger to the actors, director Claudia Llosa had a very difficult time obtaining permission to film.
