Short description
When a woman attempts to kill her uncaring husband, prosecutor Adam Bonner gets the case. Unfortunately for him his wife Amanda (who happens to be a lawyer too) decides to defend the woman in court. Amanda uses everything she can to win the case and Adam gets mad about it. As a result, their perfect marriage is disturbed by everyday quarrels.
What's left behind the scenes
- Almost the entire film was shot in New York.
- The plot is based on the true story of lawyers William Dwight Whitney and Dorothy Whitney, husband and wife, who represented Raymond Massey (1896-1983) and Adrianne Allen during their divorce. After Massey and Allen divorced, the Whitneys also divorced and married them.
